To kick off the weekend celebrations, we will be hosting some drinks in Kirkby Lonsdale on the evening before the wedding (Friday, 8th December). If you would like to pop in for a drink and say hello before/after checking in to your accommodation, we’ll be at Plato’s from 5-7pm!
We’ll then be heading off (as you all know, Alice requires at least 14 hours of sleep every night..) but if you would like to go for dinner afterwards, there are plenty of options in Kirkby, all within a stone’s throw of each other.

There are a lot of places to choose from, but we would recommend booking, particularly if you are a large party.
If you are in self-catered accommodation and would prefer to eat in, there are local Chinese and Indian takeaways and, of course, there is Booths — the ‘Waitrose of the North’! — at the top of town.

St Mary’s Church does have some restricted viewing so it might be worthwhile getting there slightly early on the day if you want a good view! We would appreciate all guests arriving at the church by 12.15pm at the latest.

We are very conscious that the weather in the North is unpredictable at the best of times. However, we are doing our best to make sure that no-one has to worry about wearing mud-proof footwear (looking at you, ladies!). The reception venue will be a mix of hard standing/tiles and matting so please do feel free to wear heels. It’s nearing Christmas so we encourage you all to wear your most fabulous outfits!

We will be arranging coaches to take guests from Kirkby Lonsdale Market Square to Casterton Grange from 1.45pm, and from Casterton Grange back to Kirkby Lonsdale from 9.30pm. We'd be grateful if you could please confirm whether you would like to make use of the buses on the transport page by 1 November.
